Information you provide
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you submit so we can read and, where appropriate, answer it. Do not send sensitive information you do not want transmitted by email.
Infrastructure and spam protection
The site is hosted through Cloudflare. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated spam. Cloudflare may process technical request information as part of providing hosting, security, routing, and anti-abuse services.
Analytics
The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance measurement. It is configured through Cloudflare rather than an advertising profile, and is intended for site-level measurement rather than cross-site tracking.
Advertising
If advertising is added, paid placements will be labeled. This policy will be updated before deploying advertising technology that materially changes what data is collected.
Sale of data
The Fifth Reel does not sell contact-form submissions or reader personal data.
Google Analytics
In addition to the Cloudflare analytics described above, The Fifth Reel uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how readers find and use the site and to improve its content and performance. GA4 may collect information such as pages viewed, referring websites or services, approximate geographic location, browser and device information, and interactions with the site. Google states that Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and receives IP addresses during collection but does not log or store IP addresses.
The Fifth Reel uses GA4 for audience measurement and site improvement only. We do not use GA4 for targeted advertising or remarketing. The site's Google tag is configured to disable Google Signals and ad-personalization signals, and we do not intentionally send Google Analytics names, email addresses, or other information that directly identifies readers.
Google Analytics is not loaded for visitors Cloudflare identifies as located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Those visits may still appear in the separate Cloudflare Web Analytics described above.
You can also restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.
